Afshan is a Masters in Public Health candidate at Northwestern University. She is passionate about being a mental health advocate for the immigrant communities and implementing a culturally sensitive approach to healthcare.

Her research interests include health disparities and exploring somatic conditions of mental illnesses pertaining to immigrant communities.
